Saturday Was A Special Day!

A year and a half ago I had an amazing opportunity to go to China for an internship. I stayed with a family with 5 little girls that I basically consider my little sisters. Well they've been in the states visiting family for the past month, and I got to see them on Saturday! They met Dan, we have chinese food... the kind you can't get in China, and I fell in love with all of them all over again! They are awesome, seriously. Here are some pics from China to show you how cute they are!

As an aside...Haley's a feisty one. She was three when I was there, five now, and fiesty as ever. Since I first met her she reminded me of myself. I even had my mom send me a picture while I was there to compare. Me=Right. Haley=Left.



 She's a feisty, funny, 5 yr old now. Seriously, she's funny. Here's a little throw back...

Don't worry... I'm not looking to drink away my sorrows. Though, with as crazy as work has been, can't say I don't want my own type of "happy hour". Lots of things have been changing. I'm in a new position. More responsibility. More opportunity. More intense. I'm way excited about it. I was getting so bored before. But that doesn't mean I'd rather be workin' for the man than for myself.

I wonder what would happen if I did just take off. I'll leave a post-it on my manager's desk, "See you Monday, I took off for the day 'cuz, well......

It's Five O' Clock Somewhere!"

Just a lovely evening in the Hanks' home. No particular event. No pictures to post. Just calmness...  And I love it.

Things of note that made my day amazing:

I came home to a clean house and the dishes done. 

Dan = Loves Me

I finally finished Heroes, my on-again off-again tv-series relationship. 

End of Series = Bittersweet

I went running with Tia, one of my favorite people to talk to. 

Exercise = Plus. Having Friends = Plus.

I scrubbed the bath last week! Why is that noteworthy today? Because I took a BATH tonight. 

Long Soak In Hot Hot Water = Bliss

With the sudden ice weather that has fallen upon Utah, I can't think of a better way to end my day. Except maybe cuddling with a certain living heat box under the covers. But hey... my day's not over yet!
